Welcome
Thank you for your interest in the weSIPsmarter research study. The University of Virginia is partnering with your child’s Head Start to conduct a research study. This study compares two web-based programs: weSIPsmarter, a sugary drink reduction program, and weLearn2Read, a reading readiness program.
Your Head Start is participating in the weSIPsmarter program. We want to learn about how the weSIPsmarter program changes how many sugary drinks preschool age children and their caregiver’s drink. We are also interested in how caregivers think about sugary drinks and use the program.
weSIPsmarter is run by researchers at the University of Virginia. It is funded by the National Institutes of Health.
